The Principal's Message
The London School of Osteopathy has been educating osteopaths and treating patients for over sixty years.
Increasingly, osteopaths are recognised for the contribution that osteopathic healthcare offers to the individual patient and to the local community. Osteopathy is a regulated profession and is often available on the NHS.
As autonomous practitioners osteopaths have choice in how or where they work. This can be in private practice or the NHS or a mix of both, and internationally where osteopathy is recognised. There are also opportunities in education and research.
The LSO has a long history in providing education-
- Part-time for mature students
- Designed for those who wish to make a career change
- 5 Years, including clinical training
- 3 years for practicing physiotherapists
- It is validated by the University of Brighton
- It posses a unique healthcare perspective
- And a democratic ethos
- It is accredited by the General Osteopathic Clinic
- And it is for those who may otherwise be unable to afford full-time education
Our future osteopathic graduates come from many different backgrounds and walks of life. They are mature, dedicated and motivated and they contribute to the democratic ethos of the LSO. One of our strengths is to inculcate a sense of curiosity in our students. We encourage our students to graduate with a commitment to life-long learning.
